Dans le cadre de la lutte contre l’épidémie de coronavirus au Burkina Faso, le Ministère de l’économie numérique en collaboration avec celui de la santé et le Programme des Nations Unies pour le Développement (PNUD), lançaient le vendredi 10 Avril dernier le concours #Innov’Challenge. Ce concours a vu son épilogue ce jeudi 23 Avril 2020 avec quatre initiatives primées.
A la suite d’un webinar tenue sous le thème, : « Initiatives de plateformes digitales innovantes pour freiner la Propagation du covid19 au Burkina Faso, évaluation et stratégies d'harmonisation pour une plus Grande efficacité», un appel à propositions de solutions numériques innovantes dans la lutte contre le COVID-19 a été lancé du 13 au 18 avril 2020 pour sélectionner les meilleures solutions innovantes qui viennent en complément aux actions et initiatives digitales entreprises par le Ministère de la santé. La compétition s’est déroulée du dimanche 19 avril au mardi 21 avril 2020 en ligne à Ouagadougou sous la supervision d’un jury technique installé le dimanche 19 avril 2020. Les membres du jury ont évalué les projets soumis et procédé à la sélection des projets. Au total 56 projets ont été enregistrés sur la plateforme et à l’issue d’un processus de sélection basés sur des critères de l’analyse/ compréhension du problème à résoudre ; de la qualité de la solution proposée et sa durabilité, la qualité ; le niveau de développement ; la solidité ; le caractère innovant ; le design et la capacité à être déployer à grande échelle ; quatre (4) initiatives ont été retenue.
Bien que les quatre équipes lauréates aient remporté chacune la coquette somme de 10 000 dollars (environ 5 500 000 F CFA), elles n’ont pas eu la même moyenne de la part du jury international présidé par Rodrigue Guiguemdé, directeur général du développement de l’industrie numérique.
